Her dedication and talent led her to be crowned Miss North Carolina 2024, representing Miss Johnston County. During her reign, she excelled, earning multiple scholarships and accolades, including a Preliminary Talent Award at the Miss America competition.
In the summer of 2025, after a year of service, Carrie faced an unexpected challenge. She was diagnosed with metastatic signet ring cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of gastric cancer. The diagnosis came after she experienced symptoms that led to hospitalization.
