Hip Hop Creators Step Up as T.I., Max B, Coi Leray and More Support Families Ahead of Thanksgiving
As Thanksgiving approaches, several major artists and community leaders are showing a real commitment to giving back. Across the country, musicians and public figures are stepping in to make sure families in need can enjoy a holiday meal during a time when food prices continue to rise.
In Atlanta, T.I. hosted his twentieth annual Thanksgiving turkey drive through his nonprofit Harris Community Works. The event supported more than one thousand seniors and families, providing turkeys and full Thanksgiving meal supplies. T.I. worked alongside his sons and volunteers, personally handing out food in a drive through line and greeting residents who have come to rely on his consistency. His turkey drive has become a holiday staple in the city and a major reminder of how long standing community service can make a difference.
Further up the coast, Coi Leray held her first ever turkey drive in New Jersey through her organization Camp Courage. Families gathered to pick up turkeys and groceries while kids took part in positive activities. Coi shared that giving back is a blessing in itself and emphasized that small acts of service can completely change someone’s holiday experience.
In Harlem, Max B also took part in Thanksgiving outreach shortly after returning home from prison. Through a partnership with The Defiant Foundation, he handed out turkeys and connected with residents in the neighborhood where he grew up. His appearance brought joy, conversation and a renewed sense of community to families who appreciated both the food and the familiar face.
These efforts arrive at a time when many households are struggling under rising costs. For some families a turkey and a few side dishes can easily fall outside their budget. That makes these community giveaways more than seasonal tradition. They become a vital support system, offering relief, dignity and a sense of holiday togetherness.
The work done by T.I., Max B, Coi Leray and others shows that giving back is becoming a priority in the culture. It represents unity, shared responsibility and a reminder that the holiday season is not only about receiving, but about lifting others up. This Thanksgiving many families will sit down to a warm meal because someone cared enough to show up and serve.
